Garmin suction cup mount is excellent, it came with my Garmin Nuvi, haven't had any problems mounting it. It does leave a ring on the window, which gives away to others you may have a GPS. I haven't had problems using it in extreme cold or hot weather.
this is the perfect replacement for my nuvi 350. The original mount became broken after several uses by family members and numerous falls from the windshield for one reason or another. the price was great about half what garmin wants and its the exact same. Price was right, shipping was fast, and the whole process with Amazon is great as always.
The item I ordered would not work with my model Garmin because I did not read the description well enough. Even though it was my fault, Amazon took it back for a full refund and also refunded my shipping with no problems. I think that Amazon is a great company for doing that.
i had lost my holdster. and i found one at the best price. not much to say about how good or bad, its the same as any.
The basic Garmin product is very good (Nuvi 350), however the windshield mounting suction cup fails repeatedly when the summer sun falls directly on it - a situation that cannot always be avoided. You come back to the car to find the GPS unit on the dashboard or on the floor. In such cases, a bit of the surface of the suction cup remains on the windshield, so that the next attempts to use it are of increasingly shorter duration.
The new suction cup holds better than the old, but I suspect that with age it will also fail. It would seem to me that the cup needs to be deeper - the present one is very shallow. A SMALL amount of glycerine on JUST THE RIM of the cup seems to help. The use of the metalic windshield mounting disk seems to help only minimally.
The service of the supplier used by Amazon for the replacement part was exceptional, and should be commended.
The suction cup on this item doesn't seem to want to stay on to any glass. I would suggest looking for another option to mount your unit in your vehicle.
The product is exactly what I needed, an extra mounting suction cup and bracket for a second car. Ghostlake Outdoors gave me not only the best price, but really excellent service.
I travel a lot and use a lot of rental cars.
This allows me to hook up my GPS and go. It does fall off on rare occasions but not enough to really bother me.
I ordered this for a nuvi 770 garmin and it was advertised as being for it but it does not come close to fitting the 770. Not happy about this.
This is a very good product and performs well once you know how to mount and dismount the Nuvi GPS unit. The Mount does not come with instructions for removing the Nuvi and in trying to disassemble our original unit, we managed to break the mounting bracket. This required purchasing a replacement Mount.
