I orginally purchased the Garmin 205w, but wasn't satisfied with its features. A Garmin customer support employee suggested the 750 after hearing my list of "wants" and "want-nots". He made a great suggestion! I didn't want blue-tooth, so I was able to save a few bucks. The 205w didn't have my home location right, where the 750 did.
The only complaint I had was the wrong car voltage charger came with it. I purchased the correct one.
Thumbs up

"It's so east even a 65 year old can use it."
The 760 is so intuitive to use it amazes me. Other GPS's I've tried were much more difficult to use. I love it's "recent searches" memory featature.
The sceen size is great and easy to read.. "GyPSy" instantly recalculates routes when I make a mistake or miss a turn or an exit. She gives plenty of verbal warnings about upcoming turns.
The dash mount is very superior to the "stick on" mount. It's infinately adjustable for viewing angle and it's size and stability are vibation free. It's size and presence also remind you to at least hide it if not remove it when not in use on a drive or trip, I unplug the put the unit and put it in the case to take with me. Then I unplug the charger and the mount and place both on the floor covered with a towel the same color as my rugs. A great thief deterent.
Would I get another one? Well, I bought one for my "high tech" son and he loves it too.

I've owned the Garmin Nuvi 750 for almost a year now. We bought Garmin because of my husbands use of it with the local ambulance company. Overall the GPS can find most locations I put in. Once though I put in a local address and it was going to take me to a different town.

Disclaimer: I have only owned my Nuvi 750 for 2 weeks, so read on knowing I know very little about it!
Although I haven't had enough experience with this GPS system to provide a detailed evaluation, there are some things I've learned about it that are impressive and need to be shared. First things first....
The order and shipping went flawlessly through unnamed.com, and the unit arrived on time and undamaged. Instructions are limited, but the display is set up clearly so it's easy to learn your way around all the features after you've figured out how to mount it on your dash and power it up.
One of the main reasons I chose to buy one of these (finally- I have been holding off for years) is because of the "extras". For example, the unit has the ability to transmit on FM frequencies, so you can load songs, audio books, etc on to it and then listen via your car radio. I did have some trouble finding a good FM station "match" for my Garmin- I had to try 5 or 6 available frequencies before I found one that allowed the audio from the unit to be clearly received by my FM radio so that I didn't get static mixed in. I'm still playing with that- the station I have chosen is clear 95% of the time. There are probably some things I could do to make for better transmission/reception between the unit and my radio but I have't really looked hard at that.
The package from unnamed includes a free one-month subscription to [...], a website where you can download audio books- you get about 3 books a month for about $30/month. I have joined up and downloaded 2 books and the process was easy. Keep in mind that the books are memory-intensive especially when combined with large files of mp3 music. The 750 has enough free memory to hold about one book and maybe 60 songs (about 250 MB), but that brings me to my next important point- expandable memory!
The 750 has an SD port so you can add a substantial amount of memory. I was at Costco today and bought an SD card with two-2 GB micro-cards for a great price- under $30. Now I have expanded the memory by one GB and will have a hard time finding enough music and books to fill it up! I did a little research on SD memory and found that some places (like [...]) charge an arm and a leg for SD cards. Buy yours at Costco or Amazon.
As far as navigating around- I haven't used it enough to speak with experience but the unit has been nearly 100% accurate in identifying streets and more like 80% accurate in identifying stores, landmarks and such even out here in the sticks where I live.
All-in-all, I am very happy with my purchase. It makes for a great traveling companion at only $200.
Happy trails!

This unit makes you wonder why pay $2000 for a navigation system as a new car accessory. It has 3 cool set up features; walking bike and car. You can find your parked vehicle with it, handy at mega malls & hiking when several trails lead back to parking lot. Picture viewer, media player, live traffic, blue tooth phone and will play threw car radio. Easy to use.
Hard to imagine something better.

Overall I am not happy with this Garmin 750. Slow to tell when turns are ahead, wants me off the major Interstates and on to slow out of the way side roads. This Garmin has no idea what a short-cut is. Takes forever to pick up signals. I so wish I had tried the Tom-Tom now.

The unit works well and is easy to use. For use in a car however, it does need the Portable Dash Mount which is NOW offered with it at Amazon. We bought it before the inclusion of the Portable Dash Mount and the stick-on dash mount that comes with the unit stuck-on the dash for all of 2 seconds before falling on the floor.
Wish we had waited a week for the better offer from Amazon. The extra $ or two would sure have been worth it.

This is my first GPS, it was recommended to me and I am very happy with the performance, as well as the size of the screen

I like the new Garmin Nuvi 750, it is easy to use right out of the box. I especially like when you go a different way, Nuvi recalculates & can tell you a different way to go. Redrawing could be a little more responsive & quicker, but its fine. We live in a very rural place, but even the Forest Roads show up in the Nuvi. We have even taken it hiking with us, it is amazing to see where you are! Someday, I would like to find out how to overlay topo maps, that is the one drawback, instructions are skimpy, I feel like I'm on my own trying to figure this out. But all in all, a fine product & fun too, our new toy! With the Garmin Nuvi, I feel like we'll never get lost again or have to ask for directions! Oh and be sure to buy the Garmin Friction Mount with it, it works great!

THE GARMIN 750 IS THE GREATEST UNIT IN THE WORLD. I HAVE 2 OF THEM AND USE THEM EVERY DAY. I CANT LIVE WITHOUT THEM...
