The amazon site is very confusing as it doesn't specify anywhere that this power cord is included in the box for the Garmin. So I ordered it unnecessarily, and then had to pay return postage plus a restocking fee. According to the vendor, this happens all the time! so if you are buying a new Garmin, just realize that you will be receiving one of these in the box!
Amazon sent me the wrong product and the restocking fee and shipping mean I would be better off to try and sell it on craigslist.
These cables are highly overpriced.
It looks like a normal mini-usb connector on the Nuvi, but my mini-usb cell phone charger does not work, so Garmin is using a proprietary mini-usb adapter.
Unnecessary to buy this separately. One comes with each Nuvi GPS system. The Amazaon site does not adequately explain this.

This is a replacement for the original charger. The original charger lasted about 2 years and worked very well until the end came apart that plugs into the car dash receptacle. Some of the parts on the end were lost and repairs could not be made. The new charger works well. I will inspect the end piece regurarly and hope to avoid the problem of the original. I would rate it 5 stars otherwise.
The cable performed as expected. I ordered an extra cable by mistake, but your Customer Representative helped me return it. He was very courteous and helpful.
All other appliances have worked in my 2006 Hyundai, but not this one. Had to return it to Amazon for a refund
I read some other reviews where the buyers were upset since this cable was included as a standard accessory by Garmin.
However, to set the record straight, the Power Cable is NOT included with all the GPS models. I bought a nuvi 265WT and it does not come in the box. I wish it did since I had to spend $30 buying an A/C Power cable + vehicle power cable.
I ordered the power plug because I didn't realize the Garmin came with one. Amazon was great.
I ordered this additional accessory as it was not mentioned clearly while ordering Garmin 360 that it comes in the box.I ended up with two.
Bought this as a replacement for my Nuvi that died during a recent trip. Unit works fine and arrived on time with free shipping. What more can one ask of a product. I did buy a replacement leather case for "Gertude" the pet name we gave our GPS and thus the free shiping. The need for the case was thanks to a pick pocket on the subway in Barcelona.Imagine his surprise when he realized he had an empty GPS case and not a wallet.
