Garmin nüvi 260 3.5-Inch Portable GPS NavigatorI am MORE than happy with this item. I shopped around alot before i bought and this one works excellent and is easy to use. The price was better than anything local that i could find for this model, most others were $100 DOLLARS or more for the same thing. I would recommend this one to anyone who wants an easy to use gps and doesn't break the bank either.
Our garmin worked well, got us where we were going. I just don't like "Sheila's" voice. We wish there were other voice options. I'd enjoy hearing some smooth male voice and I don't think many men like being told where to go by "Sheila".
This is my first GPS system and I love it. This entry level in the 260 series is great! I like hearing the street names as I travel between points. Sometimes the announcer is annoying, but I just turn the sound down. The only complaint is some suggested routes are not the best ones. I plan to upgrade later and this one introduced me into a whole new world of traveling.
This is a great product. I love ease of use and the fact that it names the streets you need to to turn on.
Compact unit, runs very well!
The only drawback is that it didn't come with an AC adaptor, so the re-charging is done through the cigarette lighter adaptor.
Exactly what I wanted at a great price. Works wonderfully and is a lot of fun to play with!
I am very pleased with the Garmin Nuvi 260 I purchased. It is easy to use and provides all the information I need to navigate. The price was also excellent.
I can't say enough about this little GPS. I use it all the time with my job, and can honestly say, I don't know how I ever got around without it. It has just the right amount of features that you need, with none of the useless functions that drive up the price on more expensive models. Who needs a GPS to be an MP3 player too when you have an iPod, right? I think the most important feature to get, is the Text-to-Speech function. That's what makes the Garmin nuvi 260 a great buy. Also, if you're considering the 260w, I don't think the wider screen will be necessary. I haven't encountered a situation where I needed any extra visual space on the edges. In conclusion, I highly recommend this GPS. Gone are the days of printing out directions or pouring over an atlas when you inevitably deviate from those directions. You're never lost with a Garmin.
the garmin 260 is a good product but i know others that got a cd with instructions,a carry case and their gps, a
different brand does what the garmin does for less money.
Great dependable product. As a senior single it allows me to go places that I would not dare before!
